Important Notice

As of June 2024, all available climate protection certificates from GS1191 have been deactivated! Until further notice, all certificates that we receive from the climate protection project GS1191 have been used up.

We can no longer offer to retire Gold Standard certificates for your donation. Our stoves still save wood, every stove counts. If you want to donate to climate protection without retiring certificates, please enter "Climate protection with confirmation". You will then receive a confirmation document from us detailing the greenhouse gases saved.

Since 2012, the Ofenmacher have been operating a climate protection project in Nepal, which has been examined and certified by Gold Standard. In 28 VDCs in the districts Dolakha, Kavre-Palanchok and Ramechhap we build smoke-free clay stoves. The fuel efficiency of a stove is about 50% better that of an open fire. Each of the stoves reduces fuel consumption by about 50% and reduces the emission of CO2 by about 1 ton per year.
